Fans of the d6-lite framework never cease to amaze me with the cool ways they take and mold the system.
I was greeted this morning with the following email:
From: Ben
Subject: zombie d6lite ref card?Message Body:
Hi there Kevin!I’ve been enjoying d6lite (particularly the zombie flavor, like many other folks) for some time now, and I found I was getting quicker and quicker at drawing up quick rule-reference sheets for players. I’ve been working on a more polished design that fits on a standard business card, and I wondered if you might be interested in seeing it. It’s meant to be a reference for people who already know the system, not a replacement for the full-page rules, but I think it’s rather useful. A friend of mine assisted with the artwork, and we were considering getting some printed — only with your blessing, of course! In any case, let me know if you’d like to see how it’s turned out, and thanks for creating such a simple, memorable, and fun system!
Ben
Naturally, I was intrigued with what Ben had put together and asked him to send me a copy at his earliest convenience.
I’ve idly considered trying my hand at generating a simple reference card or character sheet for the d6-lite RPG, but now I’m actually glad I didn’t. Because what arrived was nothing short of inspired – a perfect minimal form for both character sheet and handy rule reminder for the entire d6-lite framework on an image that could very easily fit on a business card.
Seriously, this is awesome.
So here’s a huge thank you to both Ben and Elena (who is responsible for the target location artwork) for their work on this reference card/character sheet for the d6-lite framework.
I can’t express how grateful I am for people taking the framework and continuing to help expand it into something even more special. Thank you all.
As an aside, I’m now planning on putting this on the reverse of my KORPG™ business cards.
