So I decided that The Time Master may actually pull more than one ancient creature from the depths of time to lurk in the depths of Justice Bay for my kids’ superheroes to square off against.
After pondering all the possibilities, I decided perhaps a Giant Squid (and I do mean giant) was the best yin to the megalodon’s yang.
So here’s how I would stat a Giant Squid in a d6-lite framework:
| Strength: | Stamina: | Smarts: | Speed: | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strong | Tough | Dumb | Average | ||||
| Super Powers: | |||||||
| Swim: | Super | Giant Squid are exceptional swimmers. However, their bodies must remain underwater or they will suffocate. |
|||||
| Grab and Crush: | Super | If a Giant Squid successfully strikes a target, it will wrap that target in an arm and begin to crush it. | |||||
| Notes: | |||||||
| Giant Squid are like other squids only significantly more massive. They prefer to hunt regions of the seas where warm and cold waters intersect. As a Giant Squid is native to the water, battling one poses challenges of breathing and movement. However, a Giant Squid can reach above the surface of the water to pull object to the depths below (this is a favorite tactic of the massive beast.) |
